FRUITSTAND is seeking a part-time social media coordinator to take their brand understanding and translate the values of quality, community involvement, and authenticity into engaging social content.
This contract position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media marketing and contribute to our online presence and brand awareness. We are looking for someone to confidently align on brand priorities with our small NYC-based team and execute on social media content and strategy.
Responsibilities:
60% Social Programming
- Create engaging and brand-first short-form video and image content for our social media platforms. Working with Brand and Product to ideate, then owning the process from shooting, editing, and uploading.
- Target: 3-4 posts a week (could change based on brand priorities/campaigns).
- Owning the shared content calendar: outlining shoot days, posting days, and managing your time for every step in between.
- Leverage content for our three content pillars:
- Quality Pulse: We create product highlights and styling videos to show the quality of our items and the behind the scenes process it takes to create them.
- Comedy/Entertainment: From skits to livestream clips in a bicycle cart, we want to create snappy moments that prioritize entertaining audiences and expose them to FRUITSTAND in the process.
- Misc Brand Atmosphere: Plugging into culture through creating educational posts/tapping into NYC community events/etc.
30% Admin
- Identify potential influencers and collaborations.
- Report on social metrics monthly and contribute to our paid social ad strategy.
- Attend strategy 2-3 meetings weekly with FRUITSTAND team to align on priorities, campaigns, and timelines.
- Submit weekly bullet updates to the team about deliverables and projects in progress.
10% Cross Functional
- Working with Brand and Product on ad hoc campaigns, shoots, and ideation sessions.
Who You Are:
- Marketing, Film, Graphic Design, or Communications degree preferred, but open to any degree or related experience.
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience in social media marketing, influencer marketing, content creation, or film production.
- Strong understanding of social media trends within the fashion and NYC space.
- Proficiency in social media tools like Meta Business Suite, Slack, Canva, Capcut, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent communication, time management, and content creation skills.
- Comfortable with being on camera if necessary.

Time requirements:
- Schedule: Part time.
- Hours: 24 hours per week, flexible schedule, but aiming for 2 days onsite, 1 remote.
Employment duration:

Compensation and benefits:
- Pay: 18–22 USD per hour
- Additional compensation: Performance bonuses
