About GOBI STUDIO
GOBI STUDIO is a new Pop-Up and e-commerce brand bringing Georgian design, craftsmanship, and culture to New York through a curated collection of handmade ceramics, home goods, textiles, accessories, and unique objects.
We are building our social presence from zero and are looking for a creative, social-native person to help us launch and grow GOBI on Instagram and TikTok.
The Role
We are not looking for someone who simply schedules posts.
We need a hands-on creator who can think of ideas, shoot, edit, write, publish, and learn from what works.
You will help turn GOBI's products, Georgian design stories, NYC culture, behind-the-scenes moments, and events into content people want to watch, save, and share. You help make GOBI recognizable online.
What You'll Do
- Build and manage GOBI's Instagram and TikTok from the ground up
- Develop a simple content strategy and weekly content calendar
- Create Reels, TikToks, Stories, photos, and carousels
- Create both social-first short-form content and visually polished, cinematic brand videos
- Shoot and edit content using a smartphone and/or camera
- Write strong hooks, captions, and on-screen text
- Research trends, sounds, formats, and cultural moments
- Tell stories about Georgian designers, craftsmanship, products, and culture
- Create behind-the-scenes and founder/store content
- Capture product arrivals, pop-up preparations, opening events, and collaborations
- Engage with the community and monitor content performance
- Test new ideas and improve content based on results
Who We're Looking For
You are:
- Creative, curious, and highly visual
- Naturally interested in Instagram, TikTok, and current trends
- Strong at short-form video and photography
- Comfortable editing independently
- A good storyteller and writer
- Proactive - you bring ideas rather than waiting for instructions
- Organized, reliable, and comfortable working independently
- Comfortable occasionally appearing on camera or directing others
- Interested in design, fashion, interiors, culture, lifestyle, or creative brands
1–3 years of experience is preferred, but portfolio matters more than a degree. Freelance, personal, internship, or creator experience is welcome.
Tools
Experience with CapCut, Canva, Instagram Edits, Adobe, or similar tools is a plus.
A professional camera is not required. Strong creative thinking and the ability to create quality content are more important.
