About SpotguideSpotguide helps people turn restaurant content from Instagram and TikTok into places they can actually find, organize, and visit.
Instead of losing restaurant videos inside saved collections, screenshots, messages, or Google Maps lists, users can send content directly to Spotguide. Spotguide identifies and organizes the restaurant, allowing users to easily return to it when deciding where to eat.
We are building a platform that connects three groups:
- Users: Consumers who discover restaurants through social media and want an easier way to save and revisit that content.
- Creators: Influencers who want to demonstrate the value they generate for restaurants and unlock new monetization opportunities.
- Spots: Restaurants that work with creators and want to measure the reservations, visits, revenue, and return generated by influencer marketing.
The RoleSpotguide is hiring a Growth & Partnerships Manager to launch and grow our presence throughout San Francisco.
This is a hands-on, field-based position responsible for the entire acquisition process—from identifying prospects and generating leads to conducting outreach, closing sign-ups, onboarding partners, and developing lasting relationships.
You will grow all three sides of the Spotguide platform: consumers, creators, and restaurant partners. The ideal candidate is outgoing, resourceful, comfortable starting conversations in person, and excited about restaurants, social media, creators, and early-stage startups.
What You Will OwnCreator Growth and Program Management
- Recruit, qualify, onboard, and retain food Creators, with particular focus on high quality San Francisco and regional creators.
- Operates the invite only Creator Affiliates Program, including referral codes, public lists, creator communications, activation requirements, performance reporting, and reservation based bonuses.
- Help Creators build and promote useful Spotguide lists that attract Referred Users and lead to saves and reservations.
- Recruit Creators for Spot Opportunities, manage applications and deliverables, and keep both Creators and Spots informed through fulfillment.
- Build scalable outreach, onboarding, education, recognition, and retention programs for Creators.
User Acquisition and Lifecycle Growth
- Plan and execute organic, referral, creator-led, community, paid social, email, and in-person campaigns that acquire qualified Users.
- Improve the path from first exposure to signup, first saved Spot, repeat use, list following, sharing, and reservation activity.
- Create landing pages, referral campaigns, newsletters, lifecycle email sequences, app education, and local activations that increase activation and retention.
- Segment performance by channel and cohort, identify why Users do or do not activate, and turn findings into tests.
Spot Partnerships and Field Programs
- Recruit and onboard restaurants and other eligible Spots when they can add useful marketplace inventory, distribution, or attribution data.
- Explain Spotguide's value clearly: followers and comments show attention, while Spotguide is designed to connect Creator content to saves, reservations, and measurable outcomes.
- Help Spots publish compelling Creator Opportunities and move those Opportunities from listing through creator interest, approval, visit, content delivery, and reporting.
- Hire, train, coach, and manage Restaurant Account Representatives or Spotters across priority regions as the field program expands.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, decision maker information, field notes, next steps, route coverage, and partnership status.
Social Media Content and Brand Marketing
- Own Spotguide's social media strategy and day-to-day execution, with primary responsibility for Instagram and support for other relevant short-form channels.
- Strategize, conceptualize, shoot, edit, publish, and evaluate three to five short-form reels per day, including restaurant discoveries, Creator content, product education, founder content, trends, events, and community stories.
- Personally photograph and film restaurants, Creators, founders, product demonstrations, events, and community activations in San Francisco; photography, videography, and editing are required parts of this role.
- Develop concepts, content series, shot lists, scripts, captions, hooks, calls to action, thumbnails, and multiple creative variations for testing.
- Manage the social content calendar, publishing cadence, community engagement, comments, direct messages, creator collaborations, and timely trend participation.
- Create and edit social graphics, advertisements, email creative, newsletters, presentations, sales collateral, flyers, and investor marketing materials.
- Build and optimize paid social campaigns, including audience strategy, creative testing, campaign setup, budget pacing, conversion tracking, and performance reporting.
- Plan and execute email marketing campaigns and automated lifecycle communications, including segmentation, copy, creative, testing, and reporting.
- Use AI and Creator-supplied UGC to increase production capacity while maintaining accuracy, brand quality, permissions, and a human point of view.
- Maintain an organized library of source files, releases, final assets, campaign links, and performance results.
Growth Operations and Experimentation
- Set a focused weekly growth plan, launch measurable experiments, and make clear scale revise or stop decisions.
- Own the marketing calendar, channel budget, campaign tracking links, reporting, and follow through across Users, Creators, and Spots.
- Work closely with the founders and product team to turn field and funnel insights into product, messaging, and onboarding improvements.
- Select and manage specialist contractors for defined production or repetitive execution tasks when approved.

- Converting prospects into registered and active Spotguide participants.
- Building a strong network within San Francisco’s restaurant and creator communities.
- Helping restaurants launch successful creator partnerships.
- Increasing the number of users who send restaurant content to Spotguide regularly.
- Meeting measurable weekly and monthly goals for outreach, meetings, sign-ups, activation, and retention.
- Sharing useful market feedback with Spotguide’s product and leadership teams.

Preferred Experience- Experience in field sales, business development, partnerships, community growth, hospitality, creator management, or influencer marketing.
- A demonstrated ability to source leads and close new accounts or partnerships.
- Existing relationships within San Francisco’s restaurant, hospitality, nightlife, or creator communities are a plus.
- Experience with CRM and sales-pipeline tools is helpful.
- Startup experience is valuable but not required.
Role Requirements- Must live in or be able to work regularly throughout San Francisco.
- Must be available for frequent in-person restaurant visits, meetings, activations, and local events.
- Some evening and weekend availability may be required based on restaurant and creator schedules.
- Must be comfortable balancing fieldwork with pipeline management, reporting, and partner follow-up.
Engagement Terms- 1099 Role for At Least 6 Months
- Full Time Role in San Francisco
- $4,500 - $6,000 Monthly Stipend (Depending on Experience)
