Aahana Medical Aesthetics is a new physician-led medical aesthetics practice opening in Dogpatch in early 2027. It is founded and run by a board-certified physician. Small team, high standards, and a real point of view about skin.
THE ROLE
We are looking for someone to own our organic social media. Instagram and TikTok mainly. You will be the person who captures what happens in the clinic and turns it into something people actually want to watch.
This is a contract role and it starts before we open. The first few months are about building an audience from zero, so early content is build-out progress, education, and behind the scenes as we get the space ready. Once we open, you are in the clinic capturing treatments and results.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Plan and run the content calendar for Instagram and TikTok
- Shoot on site, mostly on an iPhone. Short form video, before and afters, treatment explainers, team moments
- Edit and post. Captions, hooks, covers, audio
- Write in our voice. Warm, clear, no hype and no fear-mongering
- Reply to comments and direct messages, and pass real enquiries to the front desk
- Tell us what is working. Saves, shares, watch time, profile visits, not just follower count
- Coordinate with our paid ads and search agency so organic and paid do not contradict each other
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- You have run a social account that grew, and you can show it. This includes personal accounts
- You can shoot and edit yourself. CapCut, Instagram Reels or similar
- You write well and fast
- You are comfortable on a clinic floor and around patients, and you understand that privacy is not negotiable
- Interest in skincare, beauty or healthcare. You do not need clinical experience, we will teach you what you need to know
- Influencer management
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience in aesthetics, dermatology, beauty or wellness
- Basic design skills (Canva, etc)
- Comfortable on camera yourself
ONE THING THAT IS NOT NEGOTIABLE
Everything we post is governed by patient privacy law. You will be trained on HIPAA, the federal health privacy law, and on California's own medical privacy rules. You will not post a patient photo, name or detail without a signed authorization in hand. Every other part of this job is flexible. That part is not.
COMPENSATION
Contract role: $1,300/month for approximately 50-60 hours of work, with opportunity to grow as we open.
