We are looking for a Social Media Specialist to support a healthcare organization through a Contract position based in Altamonte Springs, Florida. This role is primarily remote, with occasional onsite time for capturing content when needed, so local availability is important. The ideal candidate can turn existing ideas and source material into compelling social content while helping strengthen channel presence and campaign performance.
Responsibilities:
• Create and refine social media content for multiple platforms, tailoring messaging and format to fit each channel’s audience and best practices.
• Translate provided information, campaign concepts, and internal updates into engaging social posts that are clear, brand-aligned, and visually appealing.
• Partner with marketing and internal stakeholders to plan content that supports broader communication goals and upcoming initiatives.
• Assist in developing and executing social campaigns designed to increase awareness, engagement, and audience growth.
• Capture or coordinate onsite content in Altamonte Springs when needed to support timely and relevant storytelling.
• Monitor social channel activity and help identify opportunities to improve content effectiveness through creative ideas and responsive adjustments.
• Maintain an organized content workflow, including scheduling, revisions, and alignment with brand and messaging standards.
• Demonstrated experience managing social media content across multiple digital platforms.
• Ability to adapt existing content, messages, or campaign materials into effective social-first formats.
• Hands-on experience supporting social media campaigns and day-to-day channel activity.
• Strong understanding of social media strategy, audience engagement, and platform-specific content approaches.
• Portfolio or samples showcasing original social content, adapted materials, and creative contributions.
• Must be based near Altamonte Springs, Florida to support occasional onsite content capture.
• Healthcare industry experience is a plus, but it is not required.
