Location: Irving, TX 75063 (Onsite)
Duration: 06 Months W2 Contract with possible extension
Job Description:
We are looking for a Jr. UX Content Writer to help create clear, useful, and consistent product content across client web and mobile experiences. You will help customers understand their options, complete tasks confidently, and move through digital experiences with less friction.
This role is designed for a strong writer who is building experience in content design and digital products. You will work with designers, product managers, researchers, developers, and other content partners to turn customer needs and complex requirements into concise, human-centered interface content.
Key Responsibilities:
- UX Writing & Content Design: Write and edit interface content including navigation, labels, buttons, forms, error messages, onboarding, notifications, help content, and other in-product copy.
- User-Centered Content: Use customer needs, research insights, and journey context to create content that is clear, useful, accessible, inclusive, and appropriate for the moment.
- Content in the Design Process: Support UX designers from early concepts through implementation, contributing content that helps shape flows, hierarchy, interaction patterns, and the overall experience.
- Voice & Tone: Apply established voice, tone, terminology, and editorial standards to create consistent experiences across client digital products.
- Content Systems & Governance: Use and help maintain reusable content patterns, guidelines, glossaries, and design-system documentation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with UX designers, product managers, researchers, developers, legal, marketing, and other stakeholders to align content with customer and business needs.
- Testing & Iteration: Participate in usability testing, content reviews, experiments, and design reviews; use feedback and insights to improve content.
- Content Quality: Review implemented experiences for accuracy, consistency, accessibility, grammar, and adherence to approved content and design standards.
Must Have” Specific knowledge and skills
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and communication skills are essential. The ability to simplify information, write concise customer-focused copy, incorporate feedback, and collaborate effectively within a cross-functional product team is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience writing for websites, mobile apps, e-commerce, retail, loyalty, ordering, delivery, or other customer-facing digital experiences
- Familiarity with UX writing, content design, accessibility, inclusive language, or user research
- Experience using Figma or a similar collaborative product design tool
- Familiarity with content standards, design systems, reusable content patterns, or editorial guidelines
Additional Skills and Other Requirements
- Online portfolio or work samples demonstrating writing, editing, content design, or problem-solving. Work samples may include academic, internship, freelance, personal, or professional projects
- Demonstrated ability to write concise, actionable microcopy for digital experiences or complex user flows
- Ability to work within established brand voice, tone, terminology, legal, and compliance requirements
- Working knowledge of user research and usability testing methods, including the ability to incorporate findings into content decisions
- Understanding of information architecture, interaction design, and how content supports product usability
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities with guidance and communicate about priorities
- Understanding of agile methodologies and how content design integrates into agile product teams
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Curiosity about customer behavior, language, digital products, AI, and emerging content-design practices
- Comfort using AI-assisted writing and ideation tools responsibly while applying editorial judgment and established content standards
- Ability to give and receive constructive feedback in collaborative design critiques and content reviews
- Willingness to learn new tools, processes, and content-design practices
Education and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred in Communications, English, Journalism, UX, Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
