Role Description The Medical, Health, and Wellness Expert role at CARAVAN Wellness is a contract position in a hybrid work model, based in the New York City Metropolitan Area with some flexibility for work from home. Experts will create and review evidence-based content, including video scripts, articles, educational resources, and program outlines on medical, health, and wellness topics. Day-to-day responsibilities include ensuring clinical accuracy, translating complex medical information into accessible language, collaborating with content producers and other experts, and aligning materials with global compliance and best practices. The role may also involve participating in recorded sessions, webinars, or workshops, providing subject-matter input on engagement tools, and contributing to program development for diverse global audiences.
Qualifications
- Clinical expertise in Medicine, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient education.
- Specialized knowledge in Cardiology, with experience addressing cardiovascular health and prevention.
- Background in Orthopedic Surgery, musculoskeletal care, and rehabilitation-focused treatment.
- Experience in Neurology, including neurological assessment, treatment, and long-term condition management.
- Ability to develop evidence-based health and wellness content that is clear, accurate, and accessible to nonclinical audiences.
- Relevant professional credentials (e.g., MD, DO, NP, PA, PhD, licensed clinician) and current licensure in good standing.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (content, production, product, or technology) in digital or telehealth environments.
- Familiarity with global health guidelines, cultural sensitivity in communication, and adherence to privacy and compliance standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfort presenting in front of a camera or live audience.
