JOB TITLE: Sr. UX/UI Designer
LOCATION: Chicago, IL (hybrid onsite 3-4 days per week)
PAY RATE: $60- $65ph / w2
DURATION: long term contract/ indefinite
HOURS: Monday- Friday, 40 hours per week
The role supports internal support center tools focused on:
- Store planning
- Retail planograms
- Product assortment
- Front-of-store merchandising initiatives
Ideal candidates should have experience using:
- AI-assisted design workflows
- Figma Make
- AI prototyping tools
- AI to accelerate product design and prototyping

Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the experience design strategy for your area of focus.
- Monitor customer behavior analytics, customer feedback, and other behavioral data to identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience and increase customer satisfaction.
- Leverage design system to deliver designs that uphold the principles of good experience design while ensuring consistency across products and touchpoints
- Build strong relationships across all business units and disciplines, understanding their needs to craft solutions that meet customer and business needs.
- Consistently ship solutions that meet a high bar for usability, embracing rapid iterations as needed to deliver highly functional and visually appealing solutions.
- Ensure your team adopts established standards and processes for product lifecycle development and collaborate with engineering partners to ensure the team delivers quickly and efficiently.
- Communicate down, up, and out on your design decisions and back them up with data/customer insight.
- Empower Your Team: mentor and uplevel designers, cultivate a culture of collaboration, enabling your team to excel and deliver impactful, high-quality work.
- Be an effective evangelist for the design team, working with other designers and design leaders across the organization to identify forums to promote and educate partners across the enterprise on the role of human-centered design.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, or a related field
- A minimum of 6 years experience in a product designer, UX designer, or UI designer role with a strong track record of crafting user interfaces that engage and delight users.
- Demonstrated knowledge in interactive design principles, consistently delivering simple, elegant, and aesthetically pleasing interfaces rooted in usability and accessibility.
- Demonstrated experience designing for desktop and mobile platforms, focusing on responsive and adaptive design that enhances the user experience across devices.
- Demonstrated experience in industry-standard UX tools, including Sketch, Adobe CC, Figma, and Axure, ensuring efficient design workflows.
- Experience working in highly matrixed product organizations
- Experience with agile development practices.
- A design portfolio that demonstrates expertise in human-centered design methodologies.
