Immersity on Any Device:
At Leia, our mission is to make immersive experiences available to anyone, on any device.
The digital world is moving beyond flat screens. Immersive, spatial content is becoming the new default—driven by next-gen capture devices, real-time AI transformation, and a growing consumer appetite for deeper, more natural experiences.
Our Immersity platform turns digital moments into immersive experiences, making the user feel part of the scene, rather than staring at it. Immersity combines the most advanced optics and AI-software suite—seamlessly integrated into any personal device. Phones, tablets, laptops, monitors become spatial interfaces, delivering the future of media consumption.
What You Will Do:
This is a hands-on engagement spanning documentation architecture, platform, and content — you will set the standard and then help build it out.
Core Responsibilities
- Partner with the software engineering team (Runtime/SDK, Interfaces/Plugins) to define a consistent structure, style guide, and taxonomy for Leia's API documentation.
- Audit our existing documentation and rewrite or restructure it for accuracy, completeness, and consistency; fill gaps with new content where none exists.
- Work with the Cloud/Web team to design and help build a documentation engine to host, version, and serve the docs, including search and API reference generation.
- Author and edit developer-facing documentation: API references, integration guides, SDK quickstarts, and conceptual overviews.
- Establish a lightweight review process and versioning approach so documentation quality holds as engineers contribute and SDKs evolve.
Strengths You Will Bring To Our Team:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years as a technical writer or documentation engineer, with a portfolio of published API/developer documentation.
- Demonstrated experience defining documentation structure from scratch and overhauling inconsistent or incomplete docs, not just filling in an existing template.
- Experience working directly with engineers to extract accurate technical detail from APIs and SDKs and translate it into clear, developer-facing content.
- Familiarity with API documentation tooling (e.g., OpenAPI/Swagger, Doxygen, Javadoc, or similar).
- Comfortable partnering with a web/front-end team to help scope and stand up a documentation platform.
- Self-directed and comfortable working as a consultant with minimal day-to-day oversight.
Preferred Skills
- Documenting SDKs for game engines (Unity, Unreal) or graphics/runtime APIs.
- Familiarity with static site generators or docs platforms — Docusaurus, MkDocs, Sphinx, ReadMe, GitBook, or similar.
- Git-based, docs-as-code content workflows with PR-based review.
- Background in AR/VR, computer vision, or graphics/display technology.
What You Should Know:
- This role is a contract engagement, with an expectation of an ongoing relationship as documentation needs continue to grow.
- On-site at our Nashua, NH office preferred.
