About the Role
We're looking for an agency-experienced Social Media Manager to own a small book of Boston-area accounts from top to bottom — strategy, shooting, editing, copywriting, and publishing. This is a part-time role with real ownership from day one: you'll be client-facing, managing your own schedule, and accountable for the quality and consistency of the accounts in your care. There's room for this role to grow in scope and hours as the book expands.
What You'll Do
- Own client accounts end-to-end: content planning, on-site shooting, editing, copywriting, scheduling, and publishing across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Serve as the day-to-day client contact for your accounts — building trust and continuity.
- Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies for a diverse portfolio of clients, tailoring each plan to meet specific brand goals and audience needs.
- Create compelling, brand-aligned content across various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- Analyze and report on campaign performance and metrics, using insights to optimize future strategies and demonstrate value to clients.
- Stay ahead of the curve on social media trends, tools, and best practices to ensure our strategies remain innovative and effective.
- Foster strong, collaborative relationships with clients, understanding their vision and ensuring their brand voice is consistently amplified and respected across all social channels.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in social media management, with a proven track record of growing and engaging online communities.
- Agency experience — you've worked client accounts before and are comfortable with the pace and expectations that come with that.
- Full-cycle content skills: exceptional content creation skills, with a portfolio that showcases your ability to craft both written and visual content that engages and inspires.
- Strong, confident communicator — you'll be representing the agency directly to clients.
- Solid project-management and self-management skills; you're organized and reliable without needing close supervision.
- A self-starter attitude, comfortable with navigating ambiguity and taking initiative in a dynamic environment.
- Comfortable and experienced producing short-form/reel content on a regular cadence.
- Based in or able to reliably work on-site in the Boston area for shoots.
Hours & Growth
This role is part-time to start (~25–30 hrs/week), with scope and hours expected to grow as the account book expands. We're looking for someone who wants to grow with the role, not just fill a temporary gap.
