Role Description The Head of Content & Community: Pulse Newport is a part-time, remote role responsible for shaping the voice, narrative, and engagement strategy of Pulse Newport Beach. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading content strategy, planning editorial calendars, and overseeing the development and management of digital content across web, email, and social channels. This role will create and refine written content, coordinate with contributors, and ensure all messaging aligns with brand guidelines and community values. The Head of Content & Community will monitor audience engagement, respond to community feedback, and develop initiatives that deepen relationships with local partners and followers. Additional responsibilities include analyzing content performance, optimizing campaigns based on data, and collaborating with the team to plan new content series and community programs.

Qualifications
- Strong skills in Content Strategy and Content Development, with experience designing and executing multi-channel content plans.
- Excellent Writing and Editorial skills, including the ability to craft clear, engaging, and on-brand copy and provide constructive editorial guidance.
- Experience with Content Management, including organizing, publishing, and maintaining content across digital platforms and channels.
- Background in community building or audience engagement, ideally with social media management or online community moderation.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting, manage deadlines, and prioritize multiple projects.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with comfort working cross-functionally and coordinating with freelancers or partners.
- Familiarity with analytics tools and a data-informed approach to measuring content performance and audience growth.
- Relevant experience in digital media, communications, marketing, or a related field; a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience is beneficial.
