Adecco Creative and Marketing is partnering with a leading pet-focused consumer brand to identify a Product Designer for a 3-month contract assignment in San Diego, CA.
Duration: 3 Months
Schedule: Monday–Friday, onsite
Pay: $45/hr
About the Role:
The Product Designer will support the creation and development of new and existing products, partnering closely with Product Development and Merchandising teams. This role will focus heavily on trend research, rapid sketching and ideation, technical specifications, and color and fabric development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and present industry trends, innovation, color, and design concepts.
- Lead select design projects and manage key project timelines.
- Rapidly ideate and sketch product concepts using hand and digital techniques.
- Create technical specifications, product illustrations, layouts, BOMs, and product documentation.
- Prepare presentations, line sheets, sketches, fabric/color boards, and meeting materials.
- Review and organize fabric and color submissions with a strong eye for detail and construction.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of product design and development experience.
- Strong hand-sketching and digital design skills.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Experience with PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with PLM, Smartsheet, or similar systems.
- Strong eye for color, trend, materials, construction, and detail.
- Bachelor's degree in Product Design or related field preferred.
- 3D design experience is a plus.
