We’re looking for a Vlog Filmmaker & Editor to work with us on a project basis, capturing behind-the-scenes content and turning it into polished, high-energy videos.
The style should feel authentic, fast-paced, and documentary/vlog-driven — not overly corporate or heavily produced.
What You’ll Do
- Film behind-the-scenes footage, meetings, launches, travel, events, and day-to-day moments
- Capture candid moments without making everything feel staged
- Direct when needed while still keeping footage natural
- Edit footage into compelling vlog-style videos
- Create strong hooks, pacing, music, captions, B-roll, and transitions
- Identify interesting moments and storylines from hours of raw footage
- Produce both longer-form videos and short-form cutdowns when needed

- Founder / startup vlogs
- Fast-paced YouTube storytelling
- Behind-the-scenes documentary content
- Clean but not overly polished
- Strong storytelling and personality
- Content that feels native to social media rather than like a commercial
Ideal Candidate
- Strong portfolio of vlog, documentary, founder, lifestyle, or social content
- Excellent handheld shooting skills
- Strong understanding of lighting and audio without requiring a huge production setup
- Very strong editor with a good instinct for pacing and storytelling
- Comfortable filming people throughout their normal day
- Able to work independently and recognize good content moments without constant direction
- Based in or able to work in Los Angeles when shoots are scheduled
Engagement
This is a freelance / project-based position, not a full-time role.
Projects may include individual shoot days, multi-day shoots, launches, events, travel, or ongoing vlog episodes.
