Job Title: Communications Writer
Location: McLean, VA (100% On-Site, 5 days/week)

Role Overview
We are seeking an independent Communications Writer and Change Management Specialist to support enterprise and divisional IT initiatives. In this individual contributor (IC) role, you will translate complex technology and business topics into clear, concise, and actionable content for employees and leadership. You will juggle multiple fast-moving projects to drive organizational change and adoption across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and edit high-impact internal communications, including enterprise emails, intranet pages, executive PowerPoint decks, user guides, and occasional video scripts (short-form content, max 500–700 words).
- Build and maintain SharePoint web pages on a weekly basis, managing frequent content updates and changes.
- Develop practical change enablement collateral and job aids to support IT rollouts and business process updates.
- Independently research, evaluate, and distill complex technical information for non-technical internal audiences without relying on technical writing formats or AI tools.
Required Qualifications
- Writing & Editing: Proven track record in internal business communications, OCM messaging, and short-form collateral creation. Strong, original writer (no reliance on AI).
- Technical Skills: Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint (page building/editing) and Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Experience: Hands-on experience supporting Organizational Change Management (OCM) efforts in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
- Work Style: Self-sufficient, highly organized, and able to manage logistics across multiple competing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic video editing capabilities.
