Akkodis is seeking a Copywriter/Proofreader for a 6 month W2 contract position (with possibility of converting to full time depending on performance) onsite in Waukegan, IL. This position will be working in the office Monday to Thursday and remote on Fridays.
Pay Range: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour on W2; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Copywriter/Proofreader job responsibilities include:
- Creates compelling and creative copy for sales collateral and business communication.
- Develops copy & content for a variety of media, including flyers, brochures, catalog, email and web.
- Proofreads deliverables for style issues, grammatical errors and other mistakes.
- Provides support on marketing projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Public Relations, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of experience in copywriting, content creation, proofreading, or a related marketing communications role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and AP style guidelines.
- Comfortable using Mac, Adobe Suite (mainly InDesign for editing), and MS Office Suite (including Word and Excel).
