Website Content Specialist

This role leads the development, optimization, and ongoing evolution of complex website content experiences across the Acute Care & Monitoring portfolio. This role is intentionally balanced between advanced medical and healthcare content development and modern discoverability. You will be expected to write compelling, evidence-based web content for highly regulated healthcare audiences while applying SEO, GEO, and AEO best practices so content is findable, useful, credible, and structured for both traditional search and AI-driven discovery.
Working with marketing, clinical, regulatory, legal, UX, analytics, SEO, technology, and regional partners, you will turn approved strategy and architecture inputs into clear, compliant, customer-centered content. You will help maintain a solution-oriented care continuum story, strengthen our credibility and trust signals, and continuously optimize content based on performance, evolving search behavior, and business priorities.
You will lead SEO/GEO informed content reorganization and new content development. Leveraging strong editorial and digital expertise, you will ensure all content contributes to a cohesive, solution-oriented care continuum story, strengthens our connected technology platform positioning, and aligns with our brand platform, voice, and editorial style guidelines. Staying abreast of evolving search behaviors and artificial intelligence, you will create website content optimized for modern discovery while maintaining clinical rigor and regulatory integrity.
Responsibilities:
- Own the development, refresh, and optimization of website content across the Acute Care & Monitoring portfolio, with an emphasis on long-form clinical, solution, care area, product, and educational content.
- Write evidence-based medical and healthcare content that is clear, credible, customer-centered, and appropriate for highly regulated markets.
- Translate clinical, customer, competitive, product, and business inputs into accurate website content that supports HCP, administrator, procurement, and other healthcare decision-maker journeys.
- Apply SEO, GEO, and AEO best practices in content development, including page structure, metadata, headings, FAQs, structured answers, internal linking, entity signals, and answer-ready content formats.
- Partner with SEO, GCCM, UX, analytics, technology, and agency partners to activate approved content architecture, keyword and intent mapping, pillar and cluster models, and page-level optimization recommendations.
- Develop and administer the operating unit’s internet content and is responsible for its web exposure and position.
- Manage content through medical, legal, regulatory, claims, brand, and privacy review processes, ensuring content is accurate, substantiated, compliant, and approval-ready.
- Use performance data, content KPIs, search insights, user behavior, and testing results to identify optimization opportunities and prioritize ongoing content improvements.
- Collaborate with AEM authors, web experience teams, and technical partners to support content implementation, CMS optimization, metadata updates, structured content needs, and ongoing site maintenance.
- Partner with enterprise content governance owners and our brand partners to ensure content aligns with global standards while meeting the specific needs of the Acute Care & Monitoring operating unit.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and minimum 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated expertise writing healthcare, clinical, medical technology, or life sciences content for professional audiences in a regulated environment.
- Advanced ability to develop long-form, evidence-based web content that balances clinical accuracy, customer relevance, brand voice, readability, and business objectives.
- Deep working knowledge of SEO content strategy and on-page optimization, including keyword and intent alignment, title tags, meta descriptions, headings, internal linking, semantic search, and content quality signals.
- Working knowledge of GEO and AEO concepts, including content structures that support AI discovery, answer engines, FAQs, E-E-A-T principles, and concise, sourceable answers.
- Experience managing content through medical, legal, regulatory, claims, privacy, or brand approval processes.
- Ability to interpret content performance data and search insights to recommend optimizations and prioritize ongoing content work.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence decisions without direct authority.
- Experience operating within rigorous regulatory and claims review environments.
Preferred Knowledge and Experience:
- Experience supporting website transformation, content migration, or content restructuring initiatives after a strategy or architecture phase has been defined.
- Experience developing content for AI-driven discovery, including structured answers, FAQs, comparison content, glossary or entity-focused content, and evidence-rich summaries.
- Ability to develop solution narratives and messaging frameworks that connect strong product brands into broader care continuum stories.
- Solid understanding of healthcare buyer journeys, including healthcare professionals, administrators, procurement stakeholders, and regional or global audiences.
- Experience partnering with clinical, regulatory, legal, product marketing, integrated marketing, regional marketing, UX, analytics, SEO, and web production teams.
- Experience supporting global website governance, including regional and language considerations.
The salary range for this position is $34/hr to $38/hr. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
