TeenTix LA - Temporary Marketing Assistant (Part-Time)
TeenTix LA is a nonprofit arts-access program that connects teens ages 13–19 with affordable arts and cultural experiences across Los Angeles. Through our free TeenTix Pass, young people can access $5 tickets to performances, museums, exhibitions, and other cultural events, while also participating in special events, internships, and youth-led programs.
The Marketing Assistant (Temporary) will support TeenTix LA’s efforts to connect teens with accessible arts and cultural opportunities throughout Los Angeles. This role is ideal for a creative, organized, and social-media-savvy individual who is passionate about the arts and enjoys creating engaging digital content for young audiences.
Responsibilities
- Create and design social media content for TeenTix LA’s Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, including graphics, short-form videos, event promotions, announcements, and other engaging content that reflects the TeenTix LA brand and speaks to a teen audience.
- Manage TeenTix LA’s social media presenceby regularly monitoring Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms, responding to direct messages and comments as appropriate, and ensuring that content is posted consistently and accurately.
- Stay up to date with TeenTix LA’s arts partners by monitoring their social media accounts, websites, newsletters, and other communications to identify upcoming performances, exhibitions, workshops, and other arts opportunities relevant to teens.
- Create and maintain events on the TeenTix LA Events Calendar, including gathering event information, uploading event details and images, checking for accuracy, and keeping listings updated as information changes.
- Collaborate with the TeenTix LA supervisor and arts partners to develop and coordinate promotional materials, including flyers, social media graphics, captions, videos, and other digital content for upcoming events and opportunities.
- Promote arts opportunities and partner events consistently across TeenTix LA’s social media platforms, helping increase awareness and engagement among Los Angeles teens.
- Develop creative marketing ideasfor promoting TeenTix LA programs, events, arts partners, and opportunities in ways that are current, engaging, and relevant to young audiences.
- Maintain an organized digital filing systemby appropriately naming, storing, and organizing social media assets, graphics, photos, videos, event information, and other project documents.
- Track ongoing projects and deadlines to ensure that social media content, event listings, promotional materials, and other marketing tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Communicate regularly with the TeenTix LA supervisor about ongoing projects, work schedules, upcoming deadlines, completed tasks, and any questions or challenges that arise.
- Support additional marketing and communications projects as needed, including assisting with campaigns, special events, outreach efforts, and other TeenTix LA initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong interest in arts, culture, youth programming, and/or digital media.
- Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, including an understanding of current social media trends and content formats.
- Experience creating digital content, graphics, photography, video, or other visual media is a plus.
- Strong written communication skills and an ability to write clear, engaging, and audience-appropriate social media captions.
- Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Comfortable communicating with supervisors, arts organizations, and community partners.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when entering event information and preparing promotional materials.
- Creative, collaborative, and willing to take initiative.
- Ability to work independently while communicating consistently with the TeenTix LA team.
- Familiarity with design and content-creation tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar platforms is a plus.

About the Role
This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in arts marketing, social media management, digital content creation, and community engagement while working with arts organizations throughout Los Angeles. The Marketing Assistant will play an important role in helping TeenTix LA make arts and cultural opportunities more visible and accessible to teens.
Pay range: $18-20 (Non Exempt). ~15 hours per week.
