Role Description This contract Journalist role is a hybrid position based in Park City, UT, with a mix of onsite collaboration and work-from-home flexibility. The Journalist will research and develop newsworthy stories that support client marketing and branding strategies, focusing on timely topics and industry trends. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing and editing articles, news pieces, and press releases; conducting interviews with clients and subject matter experts; and verifying facts and sources for accuracy and integrity. The role may also involve preparing content for broadcasting or digital channels, coordinating with the creative and strategy teams, and aligning all reporting with client messaging and brand voice.
Qualifications
- Strong Writing and News Writing skills, with the ability to produce clear, compelling, and accurate stories under deadlines.
- Experience creating Press Releases that align with brand strategy and communicate key messages effectively.
- Proficient Research skills, including interviewing, source evaluation, and fact-checking.
- Exposure to Broadcasting or multimedia storytelling, such as audio, video, or digital formats.
- Excellent command of English grammar, style, and journalistic standards.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, collaborating in person in Park City, UT and independently from home.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and comfort managing multiple assignments at once.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience reporting on business, marketing, or entrepreneurship topics is a plus.
