The role
Most of this job happens in an edit timeline. You'll take raw footage from our shoots and job sites and cut it into vertical short-form, cinematic walkthroughs, and monthly progress updates — then publish that work across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn for Henry Walker Homes and J. Fisher development, construction, and property management brands.
Volume is the point. We aren't making one polished film a quarter; we're building an engine that ships good work every week, from four business lines and every active project in the portfolio. The right person would rather deliver twelve strong pieces this month than one perfect one — and is organized enough that nothing slips while they do it.
You'll report to the Content & Media Director, who sets creative direction and standards, and work alongside our creative director and marketing coordinators. Strategy and brand direction come from the team. Craft, throughput, and consistency come from you.
What you'll do
Edit (roughly half the job)
- Cut vertical short-form for Reels, TikTok, and Shorts — hooks in the first second and a half, on-screen captions, one idea per clip
- Cut long-form and mid-length pieces: cinematic walkthroughs, construction-progress updates, and documentary-style project films
- Work "shoot once, cut many" — pull three to five vertical cutdowns out of every shoot instead of one-and-done
- Handle color, sound, licensed music, graphics, and captions to a consistent standard
- Keep footage organized: ingest, label, and archive so B-roll from six months ago is actually findable
Distribute
- Own the publishing calendar across brands and channels, and keep it full
- Schedule, publish, and QA every post.
- Monitor and respond to comments and DMs, escalating sales and resident questions to the right team
Capture
- Assist in photo and video production — progress updates, model homes, events, interviews — with a phone or a camera depending on the day.
Measure
- Pull monthly performance reporting by channel and project, with a short read on what's working
- Track what content precedes real inquiries, not just views
What you bring
Required
- 1–3 years editing and publishing social content — agency, in-house, freelance, or a channel you built yourself
- Fluency in Premiere Pro or Final Cut
- A reel or portfolio with vertical short-form in it
- Comfortable shooting your own footage
- Real organization: you hit publish dates without being chased, and your project files make sense to someone else
- Valid driver's license and willingness to be on job sites in boots, hard hat, and vest
Nice to have
- Real estate, construction, architecture, or hospitality content experience
- Drone experience (Part 107 a plus, or willingness to certify)
- Photography and basic retouching
- Photoshop, Lightroom, Figma, or other creative software tools
- Familiarity with social scheduling and analytics platforms
- Copywriting range — you can write a caption that doesn't sound like every other builder
- Familiar with AI in a creative workflow
How to apply
You can quick apply here, or go the extra mile and send us...
- A reel and/or three to five links to work you personally edited — tell us what you did on each
- One or two social accounts you've helped manage, and what happened to them while you did
- A short note: the best piece of real estate, architecture, or place-focused content you've seen lately, and why you liked it
Applications with the above examples will be reviewed first - send applications to scott@jfisherco.com
