Our client, a well-established fashion and footwear company, is seeking a Digital Designer to support their ecommerce and performance marketing creative needs on a freelance/contract basis. This role partners closely with senior creative leadership to execute high-quality digital assets across two brands, managing a high volume of recurring monthly deliverables with a sharp eye for typography, layout, and digital design. The ideal candidate is exceptionally organized, thrives in a fast-paced production environment, and brings a strong ecommerce sensibility across multiple digital channels.
- This is a hybrid role based in New York City, onsite Tuesday through Thursday. Pay rate is $65-75/hour.
Responsibilities:
- Execute digital creative across ecommerce, email marketing, paid social, wholesale, and performance marketing for two brands simultaneously.
- Manage the day-to-day execution of the monthly ecommerce production calendar, ensuring all assets are delivered accurately and on time.
- Design and produce homepage updates, landing pages, email campaigns, paid social creative, digital advertising, promotional graphics, motion graphics, and basic video edits.
- Resize, version, and optimize creative for multiple digital placements and channels.
- Ensure all creative output aligns with established brand guidelines and creative direction across both brands.
- Collaborate closely with senior creative leadership, ecommerce, marketing, and cross-functional partners to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- Prepare production-ready files and maintain organized design systems and asset libraries.
- Assist with image selects, retouching coordination, and post-production support as needed.
- Support seasonal campaign launches by executing creative across all required digital touchpoints.
- Leverage AI-powered creative tools and emerging technologies to accelerate production while maintaining a high standard of quality.
Required Qualifications:
- 5-8+ years of experience in digital design, preferably within fashion, retail, or ecommerce.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Strong working knowledge of Figma.
- Experience creating high-volume ecommerce and digital marketing assets across multiple brands or channels.
- Strong understanding of typography, layout, digital design, and visual hierarchy.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet aggressive deadlines in a high-volume production environment.
- Experience working within established brand guidelines.
- Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro or similar video editing software preferred.
- Familiarity with motion graphics and basic animation is a plus.
- Knowledge of UX principles and HTML is a plus but not required.
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field.
