Duration: 12‑month contract
Overview:
We are seeking a Social Media Coordinator to support and evolve an established social media ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, content planning, and cross‑functional collaboration, partnering closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), internal stakeholders, and external partners.
This individual will not be responsible for producing all content themselves, but rather orchestrating, shaping, and activating content through an internal network of contributors and influencers—ensuring the right stories are told, in the right way, at the right time.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Planning
- Support and evolve an existing social media strategy currently in its early growth phase
- Lead content planning, calendaring, and prioritization across channels
- Ensure content aligns with broader brand, campaign, and event initiatives
- Bring strong contextual understanding to content
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with internal SMEs to help them translate expertise into engaging social content
- Coordinate with an established internal network of content contributors and influencers
- Partner with agencies and internal teams supporting end‑to‑end social execution
Organic + Paid Social Integration
- Strong understanding of paid vs organic media
- Flag high‑performing organic content that should be amplified through paid media
- Support early investments in emerging and experimental advertising channels
Platform & Tools Management
- Be hands‑on with social management platforms, particularly Sprout Social
- Collaborate with team members responsible for content publishing and scheduling
- Comfortable adapting to evolving toolsets and workflows
Events & Campaign Support
- Support social planning for:
- One large annual corporate event
- Approximately 10 large‑scale recruitment or brand events annually (U.S. & Canada)
- Role does not currently require travel, but event experience is a strong plus
Required Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in social media, content strategy, or digital marketing
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Lives and breathes social—deep understanding of platforms, trends, and audience behavior
- Experience working cross‑functionally with marketing, communications, and SMEs
- Familiarity with Sprout Social (hands‑on knowledge required)
- Strong judgment and ability to understand nuance and context in content
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting social media for events or large‑scale campaigns
- Exposure to paid social strategy or media planning
- Experience working with agencies or influencer programs
Location & Schedule
- Local to the Greater Philadelphia region
- Hybrid model with onsite presence approximately once per month
- Flexibility to meet in regional office locations as needed
