Role Description
The Freelance Marketing Assistant is a fully remote contract role responsible for supporting day-to-day marketing activities that promote Garage Aquatics' products and brand. Key responsibilities include creating and editing weekly social media content for TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook using footage and photos provided by the team, writing Shopify product descriptions and blog posts, managing weekly email newsletters and campaign emails via Klaviyo, managing SMS campaigns, submitting all content for approval before publishing, and sending a brief monthly recap of content performance. The Marketing Assistant will work independently on their own schedule and collaborate with the owner to ensure brand consistency and drive measurable sales growth across all channels.
Qualifications
- Current marketing student looking for real-world experience to build their portfolio
- Strong written communication skills for creating engaging marketing content
- Experience creating and editing social media content across TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook
- Basic understanding of email and SMS marketing; Klaviyo experience is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines independently
- Sales and marketing skills to help promote products and support campaign performance
- Passion for fish or the aquatics hobby is a plus
Compensation
- $200 - $300/month based on experience and qualifications
