Purpose of Role
The Social Media Account Executive is responsible for supporting social media programs across 5–6 account teams. Executes and supports campaign work, including organic and paid content creation, publishing and channel management, paid media campaign management (LinkedIn, Reddit, Meta, TikTok, and others), social listening, metrics collection, and daily client communications. The Social Media Account Executive works closely with Bospar’s content and PR teams. Collaborate closely with our client’s internal digital, web, marketing, and event teams and liaise with third parties.
Primary Responsibilities
Account Strategy and Management
- Support day-to-day direction of client teams
- Support monthly planning processes (depending on account size)
- Stay up to date on client-specific updates and industry developments to deliver informed, thoughtful recommendations
- Ensure timely delivery of client deliverables
- Manage project deliverables on a timely basis
Client Relations
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, working to build trust and become a go-to source of counsel
- Actively contribute to all client calls
- Anticipate client needs and respond to client requests in a thoughtful, timely manner
Social Media and Paid Advertising
- Contribute to the development of proactive, data-driven social media strategies across organic and paid channels
- Plan, launch, and optimize paid social campaigns on LinkedIn, Reddit, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok, and other emerging platforms
- Build and manage audience targeting, retargeting, and lookalike segments across paid platforms
- Develop and test ad creative concepts, copy variations, and landing page recommendations aligned to campaign objectives
- Monitor campaign pacing, budget utilization, and performance against KPIs; adjust bids and targeting in real time as needed
- Conduct social listening and identify opportunities to support rapid-response and always-on initiatives
- Draft and deliver compelling organic captions and multimedia campaigns, demonstrating mastery of customer verticals and the competitive social landscape
- Support influencer relations programs, sourcing creators within the client’s vertical and sector
Team Culture
- Serve as an active member of the social team, educating peers on platform updates, paid media trends, and industry developments
- Actively participate in weekly team calls
- Contribute to a positive and supportive environment
Business Development
- Support new business proposals, including presentation delivery
- Build an external network by attending events, participating in professional organizations, etc.
Reporting
- Lead or support the development of monthly/quarterly reports, including paid media performance recaps covering spend, CPM, CPC, CTR, conversions, and ROAS
- Maintain accurate reporting of individual and team members in our time management system
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- 3+ years of social or digital media experience, preferably in an agency environment
- Hands-on experience managing paid social campaigns on LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Reddit Ads, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, or similar platforms
- Familiarity with all social platforms, social copy etiquette, and platform-specific best practices for both organic and paid content
- Experience with audience segmentation, A/B testing, and performance optimization across paid social channels
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English or related field
- Experience with, or strong interest in, B2B and/or B2C technology
- Knowledge of social media software and tools, including SproutSocial, Google Analytics, Canva, and more
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Self-motivated and eager to learn
- Ability to work independently and with teams
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines
