Role Description
As a Social Media Content Creator (Freelance) at Truvay, you will create engaging content for various social media platforms to reflect our mission and brand voice. You will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategies, creating compelling copy, capturing and curating visually appealing imagery, and analyzing the performance of posts. You will visit local spots across Seattle, capturing the essence of our curated experiences and translating the vibe of the city’s best hidden gems into compelling digital stories.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Content Creation: Filming and editing high-quality short-form video (Reels/TikTok) that showcases the Truvay Night Out experience.
- On-Site Asset Collection: Visiting partner restaurants and venues in Seattle to capture B-roll and photography that can be used in our content.
- Trend Spotting: Keeping a pulse on what’s trending on TikTok/IG and adapting it to fit our brand voice.
Who You Are
- Seattle-Based: You live here and you know the city. You need to be able to visit locations in person.
- Aesthetic Eye: You have an eye for creating quality content: knowing what is trending, capturing high quality footage, and can communicate the essence of our brand.
- Self-Starter: You’re someone who wants or has real startup experience. You can take a loose idea and run with it.
Bonus
- A background in Marketing, Design, or Communications.
- You have a knack for creating viral content and growing social media accounts.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in social media strategy and content creation across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
- Proficiency in creative tools such as Canva, Adobe Spark, or similar design software for creating engaging visuals
- Excellent writing skills, with the ability to craft captions and micro-content that connect with diverse audiences
- Experience capturing and editing high-quality photos and videos for storytelling
- Knowledge of social media analytics, tracking engagement metrics, and optimizing campaigns for maximum performance
- Good organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a freelance/collaborative setting
- A passion for storytelling, creativity, and an eye for detail to create content that aligns with Truvay’s brand and values

Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position ranges from $23-$40/hour depending on experience.
