We are looking for a Freelance Associate Designer, Belts & Fashion Accessories, with a top fashion brand in NYC.The Associate Designer, Accessories & Belts is responsible for putting together mood boards, sketching, designing concepts, creating tech packs and communicating overseas. The responsibilities described below are considered essential functions of the role. This position is based in the NYC office and requires working on-site.
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: 1+ month
- Pay rate: $40-43/hour
- Onsite Monday - Thursday, Summer Fridays/Work From Home
Responsibilities:
- Putting together mood boards
- Sketching
- Designing concepts
- Creating tech packs
- Communicating overseas
- Presenting products to sales teams
- Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines with support and resources as needed
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Strong sketching skills on Illustrator and Photoshop
- Strong specking abilities
- Experience in hardware development
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong sense of contemporary fashio
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Fashion
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in belts or fashion accessories industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Deep understanding of trends, materials and construction in fashion
