Con*Quest Journals is a premium, Officially Licensed fandom merchandise brand serving readers, collectors, and fans across some of the most beloved fictional universes in books, TV, and film. Our catalog spans a wide range of merchandise from planners, journals, and notepads to enamel pins, stickers, washi tape, tote bags, home décor, party supplies, and much more all designed to feel immersive, giftable, and deeply connected to the worlds fans love.
Our content lives across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and our e-commerce storefront. We’re looking for a lifestyle photographer who can bring each fandom’s distinct world to life through beautifully styled, atmosphere-first imagery.
Fandoms & Aesthetics You’ll Work Across
Each shoot will align to one or more of the following licensed properties. We provide mood boards and detailed direction for every project.
- Harry Potter: cozy, nostalgic, wizarding warmth; candlelit and parchment-toned
- A Court of Thorns and Roses / Sarah J. Maas: dark fae fantasy; jewel tones, florals, dramatic moody atmosphere
- Navessa Allen: Into Darkness, Game On, Lights Out - gritty dark romance; skulls, playing cards, moto props, deep blacks and electric accents
- Supernatural: Americana grit meets the supernatural; leather, vintage maps, occult symbols
- Lord of the Rings: epic fantasy; earthy, ancient, textured
What You’ll Shoot
- Styled flat lays and lifestyle setups spanning our full product range planners, journals, notepads, enamel pins, stickers, washi tape, tote bags, pouches, bookmarks, pens, home décor, party goods, and more
- Atmospheric compositions that match each fandom’s distinct visual identity, shifting tone fluidly across projects
- Hero images with strong visual impact built for social media (TikTok, Instagram) and e-commerce product listings
- Multiple crops and arrangements per session portrait (4:5), square (1:1), and landscape formats as needed
- Cohesive image sets that anchor new collection launches, weekly drops, and seasonal campaigns
You’re a Great Fit If You…
- Have a portfolio featuring bookish, lifestyle, or fandom-adjacent styled product photography
- Can shift visual tone fluidly across different aesthetics from whimsical and cozy to dark, moody, and dramatic
- Understand how to style and shoot for specific fan communities (BookTok, fantasy readers, dark romance, pop culture collectors, etc.)
- Are comfortable shooting a wide range of item types in cohesive setups from small collectibles like pins and bookmarks to larger items like tote bags and planners
- Can work from mood boards and creative briefs with minimal hand-holding
- Communicate clearly, deliver edited files on time, and are easy to collaborate with remotely
- Only submit real, camera-captured photography - AI-generated imagery will result in immediate disqualification
Nice to Have
- Personal familiarity with one or more of our licensed fandoms
- Your own prop collection: florals, candles, lace, antique keys, playing cards, vintage books, etc.
- Prop styling skills that can elevate a setup beyond the product itself
- Experience shooting for Etsy sellers, small product brands, or BookTok/bookstagram creators
- Ability to produce high volume of content variation in a single session
- Located in Indianapolis, Indiana (local in-person shoots available)
What We’ll Provide
- All merchandise shipped to you or available for local pickup in Indianapolis
- Detailed creative briefs with mood boards, color palettes, prop suggestions, and fandom context for each shoot
- Clear direction on intended platform and crop requirements per image set
- Prompt feedback and a low-friction, straightforward approval process
- Only submit real, camera-captured photography — AI-generated imagery will result in immediate disqualification
Deliverables & Usage Rights
- High-resolution edited JPEGs: minimum 2000px on shortest side
- Portrait (4:5) and square (1:1) crops preferred; landscape for select e-commerce uses
- Full commercial usage rights: social media, e-commerce listings, email marketing, digital advertising
- RAW files not required but appreciated for flexibility
- Typical turnaround: 5–7 business days after shoot date
