Summary
Client is seeking a skilled and reliable freelance Video Editor to support ongoing video editing needs. The Video Editor will handle end-to-end editing of product videos using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, including color correction and light motion graphics. This individual must be available for up to 30 hours per week during standard business hours, with the possibility of additional hours depending on the production schedule. Attendance at video and photo shoots is required, along with periodic onsite visits to the office, typically a couple of times per month. This is a hands-on role for a dedicated professional who takes pride in polished, detail-driven product content.
Responsibilities
- Edit product videos for client and customer platforms using Adobe Premiere Pro
- Perform color correction and light motion graphics using After Effects
- Attend video and photo shoots to take notes, ensure continuity, and assist on set as needed
- Maintain a consistent editing style and quality standard across all deliverables
- Manage your own equipment and workflow independently while meeting project deadlines
Gotta Have
- Minimum 5 years of video editing and motion graphics experience (portfolio required)
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
- Experience working with professional camera equipment — not just smartphone footage
- Must have own computer and software.
- Ability to commit a minimum of 20 hours per week during standard business hours
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Availability to be on-site in the Chicagoland area a few times per month and on shoot days
