Our client in the luxury space is looking for a PR media coordinator to join their team!
Title: PR Media Coordinator
Type: Freelance (40 hours/week)
Duration: 6+ months
Location: NYC
Onsite: 4 days/week
Rate: $35-40/hr
The Media Coordinator is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring media, broadcast, and social initiatives across the Americas, ensuring cohesive brand presence and alignment with overall marketing and communication strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Focus
- Identify and leverage local media and influencer opportunities based on deep knowledge of the regional press and influence landscape.
- Develop and maintain direct relationships with media, talent, and influencers, going beyond agency networks.
- Navigate seamlessly between PR, celebrity, and influencer-focused missions to support brand visibility.
Media & Broadcast
- Assist in preparing advertising materials and assets for multi-channel campaigns (print, OOH, digital, OTT, and broadcast).
- Coordinate with production and media agencies to ensure timely material delivery and accurate campaign implementation.
- Support cross-functional teams and media partners in developing print and broadcast collaborations and tie-ups.
- Collaborate with agencies to compile periodic media monitoring and performance reports, tracking campaign execution and key KPIs.
Social Media & Influencer Support
- Monitor daily comments and conversations across all social platforms and manage appropriate follow-up actions.
- Provide the global social media team with localized, relevant content and insights, aligned with brand messaging and tone of voice.
- Track brand performance on social platforms through dedicated tools and dashboards, generating insights for PR and marketing activations.
- Measure and analyze the impact of influencer collaborations and social campaigns, offering recommendations for optimization.
- Keep a yearly calendar of cultural, entertainment, and red-carpet events, coordinating brand participation and visibility at key moments (e.g., awards season).
Digital & E?Commerce
- Review and monitor brand website content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with current campaigns.
- Adapt global content for local digital channels, including CRM campaigns, ensuring coherence with media and PR messaging.
- Support the integration of media and digital efforts to reinforce a consistent brand image across all platforms.
Analytics & Reporting
- Leverage data and performance metrics to refine media, social, and influencer strategies.
- Deliver clear, actionable reports on campaign performance, highlighting insights and learnings for future initiatives.
Budget, Control & Administration
- Support the marketing and communications leadership with administrative tasks related to media and PR activities.
- Assist in monthly budget tracking, cost analysis, and invoice follow-up for media and communication expenditures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Media, Marketing, or a related field
- At least 2+ years of experience within a media buying agency or in-house media/communications department.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience working in an international or multi-market environment.
- Strong understanding of luxury, premium, or high-end brand positioning is highly valued.
