Project - Social Media Writer (APM): Social media writing and coordination for weekly content calendars that supports all client social media channels and Doreen's weekly social media content

What skills are needed to be successful in this role?
- The candidate should have a strong writing background with the ability to draft social media content in a wide range of styles from lighthearted and fun, to strategic and thought leadership, to the amplification of events and a range of evergreen style social media posts that vary in length.
- This will require excellent writing skills, creativity, SEO knowledge and social media platform knowledge.
- Additional skills include: Ability to multi-task, highly organized with ability to prioritize and reprioritize assignments, exceptional follow-through, attention to detail and able to proof their own work effectively.
Are there any specialized skills that must be present for the position to be successful?
- The candidate should have demonstrated social media writing experience, preferably for a non-profit or government entity.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.
- Creativity and ability to produce engaging digital content.
- Knowledge of major social platforms Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, LinkedIn.
- Basic SEO and keyword optimization knowledge
Education, Certifications, Degree requirements: BA in communications, journalism, English or parallel field
IT systems that will be used: Lytho, Meltwater, Hootsuite, Sprout, Microsoft Outlook, Word, SharePoint, One-Drive, Knowledge Base
Tasks:
- Create engaging social media content including captions, posts, graphics, reels, and stories.
- Ensure content aligns with brand voice while tailoring message for different platforms.
- Plan and maintain social media content calendars and schedule posts in advance.
- Monitor social media trends, competitor activity, and platform changes.
- Mange community engagement by responding to comments, messages, and mentions.
- Track and analyze performance metrics to optimize future content.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support campaigns, communications, and events.
- Use social media management tools such as Sprout, Hootsuite, or Meltwater.
- Developing Content Calendars including planning, organizing, and scheduling posts to maintain a consistent online presence with the ability to work 2-4 weeks ahead.
