We have a need for a Japanese Interpreter March 16 2026 for Immigration interview time 10am must be able to get to Bethpage NY.
Responsibilities
- Translate written content from Japanese to English and English to Japanese with precision and cultural sensitivity
- Proofread and edit translations to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency across all materials
- Interpret spoken language during virtual meetings or live events when necessary
- Transcribe audio or video recordings in both languages, maintaining original tone and context
- Review and revise translations based on feedback to meet project standards and client expectations
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand specific language nuances and requirements
- Maintain organized records of all translation projects, terminology databases, and reference materials
Skills
- Multilingual proficiency in Japanese and English; bilingual fluency required
- Strong translation skills with a keen eye for detail and cultural nuances
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey ideas across languages
- Proven experience in proofreading, interpretation, transcription, and linguistic analysis
- Deep understanding of linguistics principles relevant to translation work
