We have a need for a Japanese Interpreter March 16 2026 for Immigration interview time 10am must be able to get to Bethpage NY.

Responsibilities

Translate written content from Japanese to English and English to Japanese with precision and cultural sensitivity
Proofread and edit translations to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency across all materials
Interpret spoken language during virtual meetings or live events when necessary
Transcribe audio or video recordings in both languages, maintaining original tone and context
Review and revise translations based on feedback to meet project standards and client expectations
Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand specific language nuances and requirements
Maintain organized records of all translation projects, terminology databases, and reference materials

Skills

Multilingual proficiency in Japanese and English; bilingual fluency required
Strong translation skills with a keen eye for detail and cultural nuances
Excellent communication skills to effectively convey ideas across languages
Proven experience in proofreading, interpretation, transcription, and linguistic analysis
Deep understanding of linguistics principles relevant to translation work
Exceptional writing skills with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences
Prior linguist experience demonstrating versatility across various content types such as technical, marketing, or literary materials
