Job Title: Freelance Knitwear Technical Designer (Men’s)
Duration: April – Early July

Overview
We are seeking a Freelance Knitwear Technical Designer to support our Men’s team during the development cycle from April through early July. This role will work closely with the design, sales, and production teams to ensure sweater prototypes and show samples meet our fit, construction, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate prototype and show samples for quality, construction, and accuracy to specifications
- Measure samples and update measurements in technical spec sheets
- Lead fittings on live models with the sales team and take clear, detailed notes for revisions
- Update fit comments and measurements in tech packs and spec sheets
- Communicate fit corrections and technical updates to factories
- Create show sample orders based on requested colors and styles
- Provide show sample specs to factories and follow up on questions or issues
- Track development progress and ensure revisions are implemented accurately
- Collaborate with the Sales and Design teams to support seasonal showroom and sample needs
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a knitwear or sweater Technical Designer required
- Strong knowledge of sweater garment construction, including stitch types, gauge, and technical capabilities
- Experience leading fittings on live models and documenting fit corrections
- Ability to review prototypes and manage sample development
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly detail-oriented with strong time management skills
