SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER (CONTRACT) – NASHVILLE, TN
THE COMPANY
If you’re a Nashvillian, you likely recognize the name Bart Durham. Our roots run deep in Music City, and our marketing presence reflects that. We are not a traditional law firm when it comes to branding and outreach. Our marketing initiatives are bold, strategic, and community-driven.
We are now looking for someone who can take full ownership of our social media presence and elevate it even further. This person must be a proactive, independent, go-getter who can identify opportunities, execute quickly, and drive measurable growth without needing step-by-step direction.
THE ROLE
We are hiring a Social Media Manager to own strategy, execution, publishing, engagement, and performance across:
- TikTok (2 accounts)
- Instagram
- Facebook
- YouTube
This is NOT:
- An internship
- A junior-level content position.
- A “wait for instructions” role.
LOCATION & STRUCTURE
- Must be located in Nashville, TN
- Contract position (1099)
- 10–25 hours per week depending on the week and what you make of the position
- Flexible schedule required
- Must accommodate last-minute shoots and content opportunities
- In-person multiple times per week for commercial shoots, news appearances, and events
- Outside of shoots, work may be completed remotely
- Strong potential to grow into a full-time role
Social media is real-time. Content opportunities often arise with little notice. Flexibility is non-negotiable.
COMPENSATION
- $25–$30 per hour, depending on experience and demonstrated results
- Strong potential to grow into a full-time salaried position
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
Strategy & Planning
• Develop and maintain a forward-planned content calendar
• Align content with campaigns, sponsorships, and cultural moments
• Pitch and develop TikTok shoot concepts
• Identify trends and platform opportunities proactively
Content Creation
• Attend all commercial shoots
• Attend news sponsorship shoots (3–4x per month)
• Capture behind-the-scenes content
• Produce and publish short-form video
• Manage recurring content (Rising Stars, birthdays, sponsorship deliverables)
• Manage YouTube uploads and archive organization
Community Management
• Monitor and respond daily across platforms
• Write platform-optimized captions
• Maintain brand voice and differentiate between firm voice and Blair’s voice
• Actively engage to increase visibility
Analytics & Growth
• Deliver comprehensive monthly performance reports
• Identify wins and underperforming content
• Explain why content performed as it did
• Recommend clear next steps
• Continuously test and optimize formats
REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must possess the full skill set required to manage social media at a strategic level.
- Proven portfolio demonstrating video and graphic capability
- Demonstrated track record of driving growth
- Strong copywriting ability
- Deep understanding of TikTok and short-form video strategy
- Experience interpreting analytics and adjusting strategy
- Excellent independent time management
This is a contract role. You must provide:
- Your own camera and content capture equipment
- Active subscriptions to required software (Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, etc.)
