One of The Sage Group’s clients, is seeking a Sr Copywriter experienced at envisioning high-level concepts and delivering new categories to market, especially in complex and challenging industries and products. The client is cultivating a more efficient, more humane, and more future-friendly way to grow delicious, high-quality meat for food lovers everywhere.

Position Summary:
Build the Brand That Defines the Future of Food. Some brands sell products—some shape culture. A rare few define entirely new categories. Client is doing the latter. We’re creating real meat, cultivated directly from animal cells. The science is a breakthrough. The opportunity is historic. The brand that leads this moment will shape how the world understands food for decades. We’re looking for a Senior Writer operating at the Creative Director altitude. Someone who has helped build iconic, world-class brands and is ready to build one from the inside. This is not a maintenance role. This is a build-the-standard, build-the-team, build-the-engine role. Over time, this position evolves into the Creative Director role, leading all in-house brand and marketing creative.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include:
Define a Category-Defining Voice
- Architect and evolve the client’s brand voice across every consumer touchpoint
- Make complex science feel simple, human, and culturally inevitable
- Ensure world-class craft across website, social, campaigns, retail, packaging, experiential, and sales materials
- Develop brand platforms and campaign concepts designed for modern media ecosystems
- Create work built for cultural conversation, community engagement, and commercial impact
- Oversee the creative team’s day-to-day output across internal hires
- Direct and manage external agencies, production partners, and freelancers
- Provide clear creative direction, feedback, and standards
- Ensure cohesion, consistency, and excellence across all brand and marketing work
Build a Modern Creative Engine
- Design a creative system built for today’s media landscape, not yesterday’s org chart
- Integrate AI meaningfully into ideation, iteration, and production workflows
- Experiment with training AI tools to extend and protect the brand voice
Scale Into Creative Director
- Establish creative principles, processes, and quality benchmarks
- Shape team structure and hiring roadmap
- Ultimately lead all brand and marketing creative internally
Ideal Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Advertising, or related field preferred.
Experience:
- 8–12+ years building high-impact consumer brands
- Experience at world-class brands or top-tier agencies where standards are uncompromising
- Proven leader of internal teams, agencies, and freelance creatives
- Equally strong in big ideas and executional rigor
- Deeply fluent in modern media
- Curious and hands-on with AI as a creative multiplier
- Obsessed with craft, clarity, and cultural relevance
