Job Summary
Bowman’s Market, a locally owned grocery store, is looking for a freelance content creator to help us tell the real stories behind our people and products.
This role focuses on authentic, engaging storytelling — highlighting team members, in-store processes, local products, loyal customers, and what makes our store special.
Responsibilities
- Develop original storytelling-driven content for social media, websites, email campaigns, and in-store signage
- Capture on-site photo and video content
- Interview staff and customers; turn conversations into compelling stories
- Apply editing skills to create posts, short-form videos and reels (Instagram/Facebook), email content and in-store video and displays
- Exercise judgment to ensure all content reflects the store's core values and brand
- Use analytics tools to monitor content performance and refine strategies for better engagement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in content creation with a focus on storytelling across digital channels.
- Skilled in Facebook, Instagram, mailchimp and social media management tools
- Experience with photography and videography to produce short-form social videos
- Strong storytelling instincts
- Comfortable filming and editing independently
- Self-starter who brings ideas, not just execution
- Comfortable engaging employees and customers in a retail environment
- Ability to make everyday moments engaging
Job Type: Freelance
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week
