Vyynl is a visual communications company specializing in custom design solutions for constructed environments. From environmental graphics and vinyl installations to branded signage and experiential spaces, we transform physical environments into visual statements.
We are seeking a highly creative Logo Designer and Brand Designer to support branding initiatives across schools, community organizations, and commercial clients. This role requires a designer who can move beyond simple marks and develop full identity concepts that include mascots, school branding systems, and comprehensive logo branding packages to be applied across platforms.
Role Overview
The Logo Designer will develop original logo concepts, mascot illustrations, and full visual branding standards. Many of our projects involve K through 12 school communities, requiring thoughtful, energetic, and culturally aware design work that resonates with students, faculty, and families in the New York City area.
You will collaborate directly with leadership to interpret client vision and deliver refined, presentation ready concepts that are both expressive and production ready for physical installation.
This is a freelance remote position with ongoing project opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop multiple logo concepts based on creative briefs
• Design mascot concepts for schools, athletic programs, and youth initiatives
• Build cohesive school branding systems including typography, color palettes, apparel direction, and environmental applications
• Create full logo branding packages for commercial clients
• Present visual storytelling mockups for walls, signage, apparel, and digital platforms
• Prepare final vector files with scalable production specifications
• Collaborate with installation and production teams to ensure designs translate seamlessly into physical spaces
Qualifications
• Strong portfolio showcasing logo design, mascot illustration, and brand identity systems
• Experience designing for schools, sports teams, or youth programs is highly preferred
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Strong command of typography, composition, and visual hierarchy
• Ability to articulate design strategy clearly
• Detail oriented with disciplined file organization
