Role Objective:
Provide accurate, culturally grounded evaluations of North American early to mid-teen humor through structured rating, comparative ranking, and clear written explanations that translate teen humor for broader audiences.
Project Overview:
This project focuses on understanding humor specific to early to mid-teens. The role centers on evaluating humorous content that reflects North American teen culture, language, trends, and social dynamics, then rating, ranking, and clearly explaining why the humor resonates.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review short-form humorous content such as memes, videos, posts, or scripts popular among North American teens
* Rate humor using defined criteria such as cultural relevance, relatability, originality, and clarity
* Rank content within sets to assess relative appeal and effectiveness
* Explain humor using clear, logical language, including references to North American slang, trends, and social norms
* Identify recurring humor styles, formats, and cultural signals specific to North American teen communities
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Age range: 18 to 19
* Strong familiarity with North American teen internet culture and humor
* Comfortable articulating why content is funny, awkward, outdated, or confusing
* Able to evaluate humor objectively, separate from personal preference
* Strong written communication skills
* Consistent and detail-oriented
Nice to Have:
* Experience with meme creation, social media moderation, or youth-focused content
* Coursework or interest in communications, media studies, psychology, or sociology
