Job Summary United Valve is seeking a creative and organized Part-Time Marketing Assistant to help elevate our online social media presence and support our marketing efforts in the industrial sector. This role focuses on revamping and managing our social media channels and LinkedIn profile, developing consistent content, and creating promotional materials to engage customers and prospects in the oil & gas, refining, petrochemical, and related industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the revamp and ongoing management of all company social media platforms (including LinkedIn, Facebook, X/Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and others as relevant), ensuring professional branding, consistent messaging, and alignment with industrial sector standards.
- Develop and execute a bi-weekly content calendar, creating and scheduling posts that highlight our valve repair expertise, case studies, industry insights, new capabilities (e.g., machining, welding, testing), company news, and safety/technical tips.
- Create and design promotional materials for customers, such as digital flyers, email newsletters, service brochures, one-pagers, infographics, and basic graphics for social media and website use (using tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar).
- Monitor social media engagement, respond to comments/messages (as appropriate), and track performance metrics to recommend improvements.
- Assist with basic LinkedIn company page optimization, including profile updates, employee advocacy encouragement, and targeted B2B networking posts.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., sales, operations, engineering) to gather content ideas, photos, and technical details for authentic industrial-focused marketing.
- Support other marketing initiatives as needed, such as website content updates or event promotion.

- 1-3 years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or content creation (agency, in-house, or freelance).
- Strong preference for candidates with prior experience in industrial, manufacturing, oil & gas, petrochemical, energy, engineering, or B2B technical sectors—understanding of technical terminology and professional audiences is a plus.

- Solid graphic design skills; experience with Canva, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, or similar tools for creating professional marketing materials.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to adapt tone for technical/industrial audiences while keeping content engaging.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision in a part-time capacity.
- Basic knowledge of marketing analytics (e.g., insights from LinkedIn, Google Analytics) is helpful.
What We Offer
