Freelance Social Media Marketing Designer: Job Description: We're a family-owned, local remodeling company that specializes in kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and basements! We've been in business since 2014, and at our current downtown Grayslake location since 2020. From start to finish, we ensure our clients are taken care of! We have the materials and laborers to ensure a quality experience with lifelong results. Most of our jobs are repeat customers or local referrals, and that's where you come into play! We're looking for a Social Media Marketing Designer to hype us up and create more local interest! Let's show Grayslake and our surrounding community who we are and ensure they think of us first when it comes to remodeling their home. We are friendly, flexible, trendy, reliable, and fun- a neighbor you can trust. It's your job to ensure our local community identifies us as such. What you'll do:4x-6x posts per week on our social media platforms that include a variety of themes and presentation types. Developing a posting schedule that takes into account online traffic activity and consistent, carefully chosen hashtags. Tagging our partner companies as appropriate Having an awareness of local events to tie into marketing posts: for instance, on homecoming, show our painted showroom window along with a mood board inspired by local school colors. Themes:
- Mood Board Mondays
- In-process construction photos
- Finished projects
- Before and After posts
- Posts linking to articles on our website
- Selecting and integrating posts already created by the brands we carry: Cambria, Moen, Mouser, Ultracraft, Starmark, Virginia Tile, Schluter, etc.
- Our participation in local events/ sponsorships
Posts should blend short, 20 second videos with photos. Details/Requirements:
- 2 month contract with potential renewal.
- You'll be paid per post, presuming ~9-12 hours per week.
- Drivers license and a vehicle for personal transportation
- Familiarity with using creator management platform
- A confident self-starter who’s organized, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and communications at once
- A strong communicator who enjoys building relationships and solving problems
- Analytical and creative — you care about both data and storytelling
- Curiosity about social trends, the creator economy, and brand building
- 1–2 years of experience in influencer, affiliate, or social media marketing (preferred but not required)
Pay: $23.53 - $28.34 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 20.0 per week
