We are hiring a Community Manager to join a top beauty company in NYC. This freelance role will run until the end of the year with potential to extend and will be hybrid in their NYC office.
Responsibilities:
- Forecast and oversee the owned social strategy (calendars, new launch plans, end of month analytics)
- Act as the social content editor for all owned social content prior to the Director of Digital’s review
- Develop and execute an owned Influencer and advocacy strategies
- Research, pitch, and lead on brand collaboration efforts and campaigns
- Create and submit content briefs with Director of Digital
- Have a sharp attention to detail, spelling, and editing
- Manage the Sprinklr Account for the brand and allocate the cases to the appropriate party
- Ideate and write the Instagram content
- Engage with and source UGC
- Become fluent in brand’s tone of voice
- Have a sharp attention to detail, spelling, and editing
- Support brand’s digital through trend report across social platforms (Instagram)
- Attend digital meetings and act as the note taker for the team
- Proactively research new creators that fit the brand
- Attend brand trainings, work sessions and meetings to stay up to date with social strategies and best practices
- Alert critical customer complaints to internal Brand teams and assist with problem solving
- Provide social content and engagement recommendations based on consumer feedback and trends
- Stay up to date on new social media platforms, tools, and best practices
- Follow Brand provided social FAQ documents for launches and key social moments
- Able to compose custom responses that clearly address the issue in a way that is understandable by the consumer
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3-5 years’ social media/digital experience in the beauty industry
- Roll-up-the-sleeves and work mindset
- Experience in corporate environment
- High level of organization, attention to detail and positive attitude
- Excellent time and project management skills
- Knowledge and experience with major social media platforms required
- Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Must have a sense of urgency with a high degree of flexibility, adaptability, resourcefulness, and responsiveness; willingness to work outside standard hours which includes weekends
- Report back to internal team to funnel insights into product / experience / content creation strategy
- Interest in beauty, fashion and/or lifestyle brands
- Exceptional writing skills
- Excellent problem-solving ability
- Proficient in Microsoft applications including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
