Title: Digital Marketing Specialist
Client: Non Profit
Contract going until end of Jan 2026 but will most likely extend beyond that for a few months but is truly a contract role
Hybrid 6 days a month onsite rotating 3 days every other week
Payrate:$25/hr-$30/hr
Location: Midtown Manhattan, NYC The Digital Marketing Specialist plays a central role in executing digital marketing, communications, and content initiatives across web, email, and social media platforms. This position supports digital campaign development, content creation, website management, and performance tracking. The ideal candidate is creative, tech-savvy, highly organized, and able to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Marketing & Website Support
Capture photos, stories, and video clips at events to support storytelling, social media, email marketing, and broader digital campaigns.
Assist in the creation and maintenance of campaign pages, donation forms, and automated email workflows.
Update and maintain website content to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with brand standards.
Build and manage landing pages and micro-sites for digital campaigns, programs, and events.
Collaborate with the Senior Manager, Marketing to develop and execute digital advertising strategies for lead generation and web traffic growth.
Conduct website QA and accessibility checks; identify and report issues affecting content or functionality.
Produce QR codes, short links, and tracking assets to support campaign performance measurement.
Email Marketing
Work with the Senior Manager, Marketing to build, test, and deploy email marketing campaigns.
Write and edit content for newsletters, appeals, event invitations, and donor or supporter communications.
Track email performance and report on key metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and engagement trends.
Social Media & Content Production
Create or adapt social media graphics in collaboration with the Director, Creative and Senior Manager, Marketing.
Support social video production, including capturing footage, photo editing, and light animation.
Draft social media copy aligned with organizational tone, voice, and mission.
Assist with planning and executing paid social media advertising campaigns.
Track social media analytics and recommend strategies to improve engagement, reach, and conversion.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of experience in digital marketing, communications, or creative production.
Proficiency in WordPress, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, InDesign).
Experience working with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar tools.
Familiarity with social media management and analytics platforms.
Ability to capture high-quality photo and video content using a smartphone or camera.
