Kodama is seeking a creative, trend-savvy team player to support our marketing department in engaging our manga-loving audience and enhancing our digital presence. As a Marketing Assistant, you will contribute to content creation, community engagement, and visual asset development across platforms. You'll contribute to both brand-wide efforts and title-specific campaigns, with opportunities to grow in a supportive, anime- and manga-loving team.
Key Responsibilities:- Create, schedule, and post social media content (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) that aligns with our voice and values
- Design high quality, brand aligned marketing graphics using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects)
- Edit and format engaging short-form videos tailored for social platforms
- Monitor and report on emerging trends—both broad and fandom-specific—to inspire timely content
- Interact with the community: respond to DMs, comments, and cultivate relationships with fans and creators
- Assist with marketing initiatives, including campaigns, event promotion, asset prep, and convention support
- Track and analyze content performance to refine strategies and boost engagement
- Collaborate with the team to align social and creative work with brand objectives
Qualifications:- Demonstrated experience or strong interest in digital marketing, community management, or social media strategy
- Proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (or fast learner willing to upskill)
- Basic video editing skills for social platforms (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or equivalent)
- Passion for anime, manga, or pop culture
Core Competencies:Creative Execution & Communication- Strong writing and communication skills with a friendly, fan-aware tone
- Visual design sensibility with basic animation/motion graphic experience or a willingness to learn (After Effects is a plus)
Trend Fluency & Community Awareness- Deep familiarity with anime/manga fandom and youth digital culture
- Proactive awareness of trends, memes, and shifting platform dynamics (especially TikTok, Reels, and Instagram)
Project Management & Collaboration- Self-starter: able to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities
- Comfortable with remote work structure, weekly check-ins, and clear deliverable timelines
- Open to feedback, iterative improvement, and collaborative work across teams

- Contribute to campaign and event efforts with creative and logistical support
