About the Role
Paul Bickford Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Video Editor to join our creative team on a
freelance, project-based basis. While this is technically a contractor role, our consistent volume of
projects makes it an excellent opportunity for a talented editor who is ready to transition from “gig
work” into becoming a dedicated creative partner with a single client. We specialize in high-ticket
coaching, marketing campaigns, and thought leadership content. You’ll work on projects that directly
impact revenue - from video sales letters (VSLs) and testimonial reels to ads, event highlights, and
brand assets. This role is perfect for a talented editor who knows they have the chops to play at a
higher level, but hasn’t yet broken through into a stable, high-profile, long-term client relationship.
Key Responsibilities
● Edit long-form and short-form video content for marketing and client campaigns.
● Create compelling VSLs, testimonial reels, and ad creatives that drive conversions.
● Maintain brand consistency across all video assets.
● Collaborate with marketing and sales leadership to refine scripts, pacing, and storytelling.
● Add graphics, captions, animations, and effects to enhance viewer engagement.
● Ensure all deliverables meet deadlines and performance expectations.
● Suggest creative improvements and bring fresh ideas to projects.
Requirements
● Proven experience editing marketing-focused video content (portfolio required).
● Proficiency with editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar).
● Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, and conversion-focused editing.
● Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
● Reliable internet connection and computer with high editing capacity.
● Professional communication and timely responsiveness.
Preferred Qualifications
● Experience editing direct-response marketing content (VSLs, ads, webinars, etc.).
● Knowledge of motion graphics, templates, and plug-ins.
● Understanding of YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, and social video best practices.
● Familiarity with creating multiple deliverables (long, short, square, vertical) from one project.
● Past experience collaborating with remote, fast-paced marketing teams.
Technical Requirements
● Own desktop PC or Laptop (Specification: At least 16 GB RAM, 32 GB+ strongly preferred).
● Dedicated GPU (NVIDIA GTX 1660 / RTX series or AMD equivalent, 6GB VRAM+).
● Intel i7 / AMD Ryzen 7 (or newer).
● Headset & Audio: High-quality headphones or studio monitors for precise audio editing.
● Software: Professional editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Filmora, DaVinci
Resolve). After Effects or motion graphics knowledge is a plus.
● Internet: Wired high-speed internet (minimum 20 Mbps upload/download; 50+ Mbps preferred) for
transferring large video files.
● Workspace: Quiet, distraction-free environment suitable for focus and long editing sessions.
● Must have a backup plan in case of a power outage or internet interruption.
