One of our fashion clients is looking for a Production Coordinator. This is a new advanced designer womenswear brand.
This role is based in NYC and is fully in office. This is a freelance role that will become permanent if all goes well. 40/hours a week. Must have experience working with domestic fashion companies to be considered for this role.

- Understanding of fit, construction and patternmaking. Experience in with both Woven and Knits highly preferred
- Technical knowledge of fibers, yarns, knit & woven material, dyeing, finishing, wash, print & pattern and material manufacturing
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficient in Illustrator and Photoshop (this is dependent on hire)
- Strong Excel proficiency (i.e., v-lookups, pivot tables, etc)
Job Responsibilities
- Check quality of garments at domestic factories
- Shop for trim in local market
- Keep working action lists based on current business needs
- Support production needs including assortment planning, basic tech packs/cut sheets, purchase orders, material/trim compilation, marking and grading, and troubleshooting issues
- Maintain accurate logs of styles, materials, purchase orders, sales and expenses
- Schedule and participate in fittings, detailed documented fit and design changes and images. Send comments to patternmakers and ensure timely and accurate execution of revisions with both factories and patternmakers
- Communicate with vendors on product development needs (lab dips, strike-offs, visual appearance & fit of styles) and timelines
- Organizing and upkeep of all design related resources (yarn cards, fabric headers, etc.), upkeep of design library
- Support web development with accurate product information
- Expect needs to change as business evolves
