Overview of Position: Temporary Freelance Experiential Spatial Event Designer

UNIQLO Global Creative Lab is looking for a temporary experiential spatial event designer to design and develop concepts for a brand event. This role will collaborate with our in-house creative team to help bring innovative concepts to life. Reports directly into the Associate Creative Director.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with creative leads and stakeholders to visualize creative concepts for experiential event, aligning with brand’s objectives and message.
- Create spatial layouts, floor plans, and 3D renderings that optimize the flow and engagement within the experience.
- Develop visual elements, graphics, and branding that enhance the overall atmosphere and storytelling of the experience.
- Choose appropriate materials, finishes, and technologies to bring designs to life, considering factors such as durability, budget, and sustainability.
- Partner with our in-house production team to ensure seamless project execution.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience in experiential/ event design production within a creative agency or production environment.
- High level of proficiency in hands-on design work, software skills in 2D design (graphic/motion design in Adobe CC), and/or 3D design work (modeling and rendering in SketchUp/Rhino
Exceptional organizational and communication skills
Proven ability to multi-task
Knowledge of design build and fabrication materials, lighting, sound, video, photography and social media.
Familiarity of venue building codes and standards and public space event permitting
Ability to work flexible schedule based on retail environment
Hourly Rate: $50 - $65 p/h
