Experience
The website developer must be proficient in developing websites in WordPress, Wix, Shopify, and/or Squarespace. The website developer must also be proficient in PHP, CSS, HTML, and JavaScript.
Project Details
Typical website development projects include but are not limited to:
- Complete website builds and rebuilds (desktop and mobile)
- Landing page builds and rebuilds (desktop and mobile)
- Website edits and updates including but not limited to content edits (text, images, links, etc.) and plugin and PHP updates (if applicable)
- Plugin, widget, or feature installation. Including but not limited to: forms, reviews widgets, calendars or booking applications, member login portals, databases, video modules, galleries, and APIs.
- Website error problem-solving and troubleshooting.
- Edits to improve page loading speed (if applicable). Including but not limited to CSS and JavaScript minification, DOM structure simplification, and photo resizing.
The website developer will work directly with a director and website designer to discuss, fulfill, and edit client website development needs. For design/development projects, the developer will be provided with design files from which to build the website. All content and media for the websites will also be provided to the developer.
Working Arrangements
The website developer will work in a remote, freelance capacity and on a project-by-project basis. Please note that frequent or consistent work is not guaranteed. All correspondence will take place via Slack, Asana, phone call, or video conference.
Compensation and Employment Type
The website developer will work as a 1099 contractor and will bill Forge Marketing Group directly for their services. The website developer’s hourly rate will be discussed and confirmed prior to working with Forge.
The website developer must submit an invoice on the last business day of each month for the hours they worked. Forge asks that the invoice offer at least a 15-day payment term. Forge will pay invoices via direct deposit using its payroll software.
