Job Description:
I am in need for a web developer who is a disciple of Jesus Christ. That is most important to me. However, I am also seeking a web developer who has aggressive life ambitions and doesn’t fear to take risks. I need you to work minimal hours in a freelance structured employment agreement. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining web applications and websites, however minor and more precision tasks (especially if you are not proficient in the languages and skillsets that are listed below) will be the majority of your responsibility. You will work closely with the project manager who will assign you to handle a workload based upon your ability and willingness to work agreed upon tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain websites and web applications using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Build and consume APIs to integrate third-party services into web applications and ensure smooth data flow across systems.
- Write efficient code to ensure fast, scalable, and high-performance applications.
- Perform debugging and troubleshooting across the full stack (front-end and back-end).
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience with PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and working with RESTful APIs.
- Understanding of front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery) and frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Tailwind).
- Experience in backend development with PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or Zend Framework.
- Ability to integrate APIs (RESTful, SOAP, etc.) into web applications, including authentication, error handling, and data parsing.
- Knowledge of database management and experience with MySQL or similar relational databases.
- Familiarity with version control tools, particularly Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues across the full stack.
- Ability to write and maintain clean, well-documented code.
- Experience with cloud services and hosting platforms (e.g., AWS, Heroku) is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with front-end JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js).
- Experience with unit testing and test-driven development (TDD).
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of WordPress development or other CMS platforms is a bonus.
- Understanding of SEO best practices for web development.
