Job Summary
The Graphic Designer [SAS] will be responsible for the graphics and print for Scotch & Soda brand ranging all genders and sizes under United Legwear including but not limited to boys, girls, and men’s. This position will collaborate with the Design Team to assist, oversee and execute on the line along with meeting company and department deadlines. The Graphic Designer [SAS] will also be responsible for special projects as required in support company needs.
Essential Functions (Including but not limited to):
- Graphic knowledge and well informed in current graphic trends within the art and fashion.
- Collaborate with the design and marketing teams to develop concepts and designs for products.
- Design and explore new graphic applications on product to compliment seasonal narrative.
- Prepare and present design concepts to the team for approval.
- Ensure all designs are on-brand and meet the needs of the target audience.
- Research and participate in creating seasonal inspiration.
- Create tech packs with detail specs that include sizing, special treatments, print techniques and art placement.
- Develop new dynamic designs and enhance exiting concepts.
- Adhere to timelines and meet all deadlines while producing high quality work.
- Perform any other duties as assigned in support of the company needs and operations.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelors in a related field and 3-5 years of work-related experience in Apparel Graphic Design or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Illustration skills are a plus.
- The ability to develop graphic designs consistent of the brand's look and feel.
- Keep up and understand market trends to develop branding and graphics.
- Extensive software knowledge in Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Experience with screen printing and other techniques.
- Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks and workloads seamlessly and follow up.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team under critical time frames.
- Self-driven and experienced working in a fast-paced environment and able to apply good work habits to effectively complete assigned tasks and contribute to the smooth operation of the company/department.
Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000
This is an onsite position at our New York City office.
