Job Description:
The client is seeking a skilled Copywriter to support content and editorial needs on a part-time contract basis, producing high-quality narrative, long-form, and web copy across a range of subject areas.
Job Summary
•Produce narrative and long-form written content based on interviews with internal subjects and stakeholders
•Write and adapt web copy with an understanding of design principles and how content functions across screen sizes
•Conduct interviews independently, connecting with a range of subjects and handling complex or sensitive topics with professionalism
•Adapt a single interview or source into multiple content formats and deliverables
•Coordinate with the team as needed when assignments require subject interviews or editorial input
•Deliver polished copy that meets the organization's voice, tone, and brand standards
Minimum Requirements:
•Demonstrated experience in narrative and long-form writing, with portfolio samples required
•Portfolio must include both long-form or narrative samples and website copy samples
•Strong interviewing skills, with the ability to connect with diverse subjects and navigate complex or sensitive topics
•Experience writing web copy with an understanding of how writing functions as a design element across screen sizes
•Background in institutional research, legal, or law school environments
Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience building or contributing to websites and publications
•Ability to take a single interview and repurpose content across multiple formats
•Demonstrated sense of design sensibility alongside writing ability
