Position Details:Job Opportunity: Editor (Sports)
Client: Entertainment/Media/ Sports
Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309/New York, NY 10019(Onsite)
Contract Duration: 6 Months (Extension/Conversion based on performance)
Standard Hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Pay Range: $34/hr. - $38/hr.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor live sporting events and identify breaking news, important developments, and compelling storylines relevant to sports audiences.
Work within the alerts and content programming team to balance editorial judgment, promotional priorities, and data-driven audience insights.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
2-3 years of experience in sports journalism, sports content creation, digital media, or marketing.
Strong and broad knowledge of sports, particularly football, combat sports, and soccer.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience writing and editing according to AP Style.
Experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS).
Experience creating mobile alerts, push notifications, or other audience-engagement content.
Familiarity with AI tools used to improve editorial or workflow efficiency.
